How does CéSAR Photo work?
- The organizer creates a gallery and uploads the event photos (direct upload, Google Drive, Dropbox or WeTransfer; iPhone HEIC and RAW formats accepted).
- They share the gallery link or QR code with the guests.
- Each guest opens the gallery in their browser, takes a selfie and gives consent.
- Within seconds, they get a private gallery containing only the photos they appear in, ready to download.
Who is CéSAR Photo for?
Individuals organizing a wedding, bar or bat mitzvah, birthday or party who want every guest to get their own photos without scrolling through hundreds. Companies running seminars, parties and trade shows. Event photographers who deliver galleries to their clients and guests (Pro and Studio plans, co-admins, white label).
What happens to my face and my selfie?
Face recognition relies on the guest's explicit consent, collected before any analysis. The selfie is never kept: it is deleted a few seconds after matching, whether or not the search found anything.
What is stored is a face template, a list of 512 numbers that cannot be used to rebuild the face and can only be compared with faces from the same event. The computation is done by an open-source model (InsightFace / ArcFace) that CéSAR Photo hosts and runs itself: no photo is sent to Amazon Rekognition, Google Vision or Microsoft Azure Face.
When the gallery expires, or if the organizer deletes it, the photos and all associated face templates are erased. The database is hosted in the European Union (Neon) and photos on Cloudflare R2. Details are in the privacy policy.
What CéSAR Photo does not do
- No native app to download: everything runs in the browser.
- No print shop or paper albums: it is a service for sharing and delivering digital photos.
- No selling of data: technical subprocessors (hosting, storage, payments, email) only operate the service.
- No mandatory subscription for a one-off event: CéSAR One is a single payment per event.
Who publishes CéSAR Photo?
CéSAR Photo is published by SAR-Tech, a sole proprietorship based in Gif-sur-Yvette, France. Full legal details are in the legal notice. The service is built for two markets in particular, France and Israel, which is why the interface is complete in French and Hebrew, with true right-to-left display.
