Best face recognition photo apps for events in 2026
CéSAR Photo, Evokly, Keep Pics, GuestCam, Waldo, FotoOwl and PiciMe: how each guest finds their photos with a selfie, at what price and with what safeguards.

Face recognition apps for event photos let each guest find their photos with a selfie: CéSAR Photo (€49 per event, four languages, selfie deleted after the search), Evokly (€69) and Keep Pics (€49 to €129) for a French-speaking wedding, GuestCam ($49 plus a $45 option) and Waldo ($49.99) for a US audience, FotoOwl (subscription) for photographers, PiciMe (₪350 to ₪750) for Hebrew.
The principle is the same everywhere: the organizer imports the photos, the guest takes a selfie, a model compares their face with those in the photos and returns theirs. What changes is price, language, storage time and above all what happens to your face: a selfie is biometric data. Here are seven solutions compared on those criteria, with information taken from their official sites on October 5, 2026.

FotoOwl: for photographers with large volumes
Face recognition on every plan, WhatsApp delivery through credits, a free plan up to 1,000 images then $16 to $31 per month billed annually.

How to choose a face recognition app
- Check what happens to the selfie: deleted immediately or kept? Is consent requested before the analysis?
- Look at who runs the recognition: the service's own model or a third-party provider (AWS, Google…)? It is a GDPR question, not a comfort one.
- Compare total cost, option included: some solutions charge extra for face search.
- Check the interface language for your guests, including right-to-left if Hebrew is involved.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best face recognition app to find your wedding photos?
For a wedding whose guests speak several languages or Hebrew, CéSAR Photo is the most complete choice (4 languages, €49 per event). For a purely French-speaking wedding, Evokly and Keep Pics are direct alternatives.
Is face recognition on event photos legal?
In Europe, a selfie used to find your photos is biometric data: it requires explicit consent before analysis, limited retention and clear information. Serious solutions delete the selfie after the search and erase data when the gallery ends.
Do you need to install an app to find your photos by selfie?
Not for most: CéSAR Photo, Evokly, Keep Pics and GuestCam run in the browser from a QR code or link; PiciMe goes through WhatsApp.
