Press release
CéSAR Photo: every guest finds their wedding photos with a selfie
Gif-sur-Yvette, France, October 5, 2026. A wedding gathers about 90 guests in France according to Mariages.net, and nearly all couples (86%) hire a photographer. Yet once the gallery is delivered to the couple, guests rarely receive anything: they scroll a shared album, swap photos over WhatsApp or get none at all.
CéSAR Photo, a French web app, addresses this problem. The organizer imports the photographer's and guests' photos; each guest scans a QR code, takes a selfie and finds, within seconds, only the photos they appear in, with no app to install. The service works for weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, birthdays, parties and corporate events.
The service is built for families that don't all speak the same language: the interface exists in French, English, Spanish and Hebrew with true right-to-left display. On personal data, consent is requested before any analysis, the selfie is deleted after the search, only a mathematical template is kept and erased when the gallery expires, and the recognition model is run by CéSAR Photo itself, with no third-party face recognition service. The database is hosted in the European Union.
CéSAR Photo is free to try; the full gallery (5,000 photos, 12 months of storage) costs 49 € per event, with no subscription. Photographers have Pro and Studio subscriptions (white label, co-admins). Press contact: simon@cesar-photo.com.
What CéSAR Photo is not
- Not a print service: it is a service for sharing and delivering digital photos.
- Not an app to install: everything runs in the browser.
- No connection to the César Awards or to photographers who share the name.
